Don’t miss JANE’S Slalom event
Race your Jag around orange cones in a controlled environment. Get your Jag recognized in the JCNA magazine – The Jaguar Journal.
Our JANE member, Herman Wiegman, has been the North American Slalom Champion!
Arrive at 9:00 am on Saturday, June 20, with any make car for a day of fun slalom racing at JANE’S Spring Slalom.
The cost is $30.00 for JANE or other JCNA club members or $50 for non-members.
Call Slalom Chair, Rich Hanley, at 508-317-3474, to let him know you are coming or if you have any questions.
Directions from Boston:
Go south on Route 93, the famous “Southeast Expressway.”
At the “Braintree Split,” bear left to Route 3, heading toward Cape Cod.
Take the Route 18 exit heading South toward Abington. Continue on Route 18 (Main Street) for about 3 miles.
Take a left on Trotter Road. Unfortunately, there is no street sign. However, you will be at a set of lights. “Uncle Charlie’s Finer Diner” is there with a CVS beside it. Take that left – Trotter Road.
Travel down Trotter Road for about a mile and a half. You will see a new apartment complex called “MIO” on your right – keep going. You will see another very large apartment complex on your left called “Mastlight” – keep going.
You will come to a small rotary – go around it and keep going in the same direction. The street has changed its name to “Patriot Parkway.” You will come to a set of lights that seems to be there for no reason at all!
On your right, there will be a street sign for “Shea Memorial Blvd.” The “Blvd.” seems to be nothing more than a short driveway leading to a gate that opens to a gigantic abandoned air strip/runway. Remember, this was once the U.S. Marines Weymouth Air Base. This is where we will be racing our Jags (or any other car of your choice) around orange cones.
See you there at 9:00 AM on June 20.
